As a Society we endeavoured to provide a programme of events throughout the year that will delight and entertain, broaden your knowledge of gardening and give you the opportunity to share your horticultural experiences. This included social evenings with entertainment or speakers, visits to gardens, plant growers, plant sales and Horticultural Shows. In previous years we have been actively involved with local schools in sowing and growing. We have had Annual Show where both members and non members can exhibit their flowers, vegetables, photographs and craft items. Items were judged according to RHS guidelines and winners will receive certificates of merit. This was of course brought to a grinding halt by COVID. We did hold a virtual show in 2020 and this year hope to have an open show again . To be held at Upton Community Centre Saturday and Sunday 3rd & 4th of September.
