For our Social event on 12 February Stuart Hatton of the Cheshire Beekeepers Association gave us a fascinating and illuminating talk on 'Planting for Bees' This was a follow up to his talk the Life of Bees in 2019. This time he spoke about how bees need both pollen and nectar for their wellbeing and what plants best provide these in each season of the year. He left us with a comprehensive list of trees, plants and shrubs that best cater for the bees' needs throughout the year . Many thanks again Stuart for sharing your impressive depth of knowledge on the subject with us.
If you would like a copy of Stuart's handout please contact our secretary Anne Billington using our email address.
