Society members are continuing to assist the School with their gardens.
The children have been delighted to find that things do grow in their garden. The School Council, which is made up students from Years 2 - 6, had the pleasure of picking the produce. The broad beans and potatoes were given to the school kitchen, who were delighted with them and the peas were divided between the classes for a taste. There are still many peas and broad beans to pick, so a good harvest for the first year of our involvement. The wild flower area is also beginning to add a good splash of colour to the garden encouraging the bees and insects, this particular area will help with the various school projects which are planned in the coming months.
